Optimization of Fuel Cost in Electric Power Systems using Harmony Search Algorithm

Fuel Cost Optimization emerges as an important issue in electrical load distribution systems. In this study, the performance of Harmony Search Algorithm, which has a significant place literature, been observed for sample problem field fuel cost optimization. It is aimed to distribute provided by three-unit power plant with minimum cost. Three restricted functions are defined order calculate energy production per hour three thermal plants. For reason, solved using equal weighted scalarization, one multi-objective optimization techniques and static penalty function Algorithm. The obtained results presented comparison Lagrange solution Artificial Bee Colony were used solve same problem.
